⚠ Standalone FCRA Disclosure
In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., My Car Concierge (operated by Zanetis Holdings LLC) may obtain a consumer report (background check report) about you for employment and/or contractor screening purposes.
This document constitutes the required standalone disclosure under 15 U.S.C. § 1681b(b)(2)(A). It contains no extraneous information other than what is required by applicable law.
What Is a Consumer Report?
A "consumer report" (commonly called a background check) is a report prepared by a consumer reporting agency (CRA) that contains information about your:
- Criminal history (federal, state, and county records)
- Sex offender registry status
- Identity verification and Social Security Number validation
- Driving record (motor vehicle report), where applicable
- Employment verification (where applicable)
- Global watchlist screening (OFAC, terrorist watchlists)
Why We Conduct Background Checks
My Car Concierge connects vehicle owners with automotive service providers. To protect our users, we require background screening for service providers as part of our provider verification process. Background checks may also be conducted:
- During initial provider onboarding and application review
- For periodic re-screening during your active status on the platform
- Following a user complaint or safety incident requiring investigation
The Consumer Reporting Agency
My Car Concierge uses third-party consumer reporting agencies to conduct background checks. You will be notified of the specific CRA used and provided with their contact information before your background check is initiated through the separate authorization process.
Consumer reporting agencies are required to maintain reasonable procedures for maximum possible accuracy of consumer reports. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the CRA.
